QR Code Scanning & Printing

  • What is a QR Code?

It is a visual pattern that directs the browser on the users phone to a particular location or IP address. It allows a phone to quickly go to that link on the Internet.

  • Are my QR Codes unique?

Yes! You will be assigned unique QR Codes and you will only need to print them once and then refresh the content with our management tools, whenever you want.

  • Can I refresh the content my QR Codes go to?

Yes! That is the true advantage of our service. You can refresh your content without having to change your QR Codes. This provides a longer shelf life to your print marketing materials.

  • How long do I get to keep my QR Codes?

As long as you have your subscription. If you discontinue and then want to restart — we can do that to. We will never re-distribute your QR Codes. They are uniquely generated each time we set up anyone”s QR Codes.

  • What do users need to scan my QR Codes?

A simple QR code reader. Anyone can download one for their phone’s platform: iPhone, Android, Blackberry, Windows Mobile, etc.

  • How do I access my QR Code once I have signed up?

Log into your account. Go to the "My Codes" page. Click the download icon. There are several image format and size options.

  • I want to make my QR Code include my logo or a design — can I?

Very soon we will provide the service to alter your QR Codes to include or look like your logos. We know they stand out a bit now, but until everyone gets used to scanning them, it is best to keep them the way they are. Once we are able to convert them to full designs, we will let you know right away.

  • I only want to use shortened URLs, can you do that?

Yes! Not to worry, we provide you with a shortened url.

  • Are there guidelines to printing the QR Codes?

Yes! For printed materials that your customer will hold in their hand, you need to make sure your designer or printer does not make them smaller than 1/2” x 1/2Ý. If it gets too small then the readers cannot pick up the nuances that will ensure users get to your content. Just make sure to test it before you go to print, as long shelf-life for your printed marketing materials is part of the intent of our service.

For billboards and posters, consider the distance the consumer will be from your QR Code. As a rule of thumb, make your QR Code about 1/10 the distance your customer will be from the QR Code. As an example, if your customer will be 60” from the QR Code, we recommend that your QR Code be 6” (60/10 = 6).

Finally, if you believe your QR Code will be in poor light, printed in a low contrast color, or be at a difficult reading angle consider enlarging your QR Code to make sure your customers will be able to read it.
